Life is full of questions—big ones, small ones, the kind that keep us awake at night. Questions about purpose, belonging, and faith. Maybe you’ve asked, “Does God care about me?” or “Why do I feel so disconnected?”
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering about these things, you’re not alone. At RiverGlen, we believe that curiosity and questions are a vital part of our journey toward God. The good news? God is big enough for our doubts, our struggles, and even our toughest questions.
We’re All on a Journey
Faith isn’t about having everything figured out; it’s about the process of seeking. Jesus himself often invited people to ask, to seek, and to knock. It’s in this seeking that we grow closer to Him, and it’s often in community that we find the courage to keep asking.
This is why we value building relationships—it’s through relationships that we begin to understand not only who we are but who God is. As we connect with others, we also begin to grasp the deep love God has for each of us.
Why Questions Matter
Here’s something we’ve learned: when we take the risk to voice our questions—about faith, God, or life—it opens the door to something profound.
Healing Begins: Sometimes our questions come from a place of hurt: Why did this happen to me? Does God care about my pain? Wrestling with these questions in a safe, open environment can be the first step toward healing.
Wisdom Grows: Scripture tells us that “the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6). Through thoughtful conversation and reflection, we begin to uncover truths that guide us forward.
Community Forms: When we bring our questions into the light, we often discover others asking the same things. Sharing those moments builds connection and reminds us that we’re not alone.
An Invitation to Explore
Over the years, we’ve seen the power of questions through an experience called Alpha. Alpha is a chance to gather with others, share a meal, and talk openly about life and faith. It’s not about preaching or providing all the answers—it’s about creating space for real conversation.
We’ve heard stories of lives changed through Alpha—people finding healing, choosing to be baptized, or simply walking away with a greater sense of clarity and peace. What’s most striking is how Alpha fosters relationships. Many who begin as strangers end up as lifelong friends.
Alpha reflects what we believe as a church: that life is better when we walk it together, that God loves every single one of us deeply, and that we all belong.
What About You?
If you’ve ever wondered about God, faith, or your purpose, maybe this is the perfect time to explore. We invite you to bring your questions—big or small—and join us on the journey. Who knows what you might discover?
Because here’s the truth: our questions don’t push God away; they pull us closer.
